도랑에 빠진 자전거
안장은 달아나고
손잡이엔 녹물이 붉은
자전거가 물속에 누워 있다.
일어나!
어서 가자니까!
도랑물이 손잡아 흔들지만
늙은 자전거는 꼼짝 못하고 있다.
한 몸처럼 붙어 다니던
소년은 어디로 갔누?
남생이는 모가지를
길게 뽑아서 두리번대고
도랑물은 할 수 없다는 듯이
끌끌끌
혀를 차면서 혼자서 간다.

Saddle has run away
Bicycle lies in the water
With rust on the handle
Get Up!
Quick, let’s go!
Ditch Water shakes it by the hand
Old Bicycle lies there stuck
Where is the boy
Who used to go around
Attached to it like one body?
Tortoise gazes around
Pulling its neck out long
Ditch Water passes on
Tsk tsk tsk
As if there’s nothing to be done.
