Alley
I take a longer walk than usual to clear my mind.
When I turn down a new street
I see many people, lots of flowerpots, and many dogs and cats.
A sign ‘Used Clothes’ on a collection box
Faces a sign ‘Trustworthy Helper Wanted’ on a telephone pole.
A stranger, an unknown flower, a dog wailing instead of barking,
a lost cat sneaking under a car like I sneak down this alley,
dispel my complicated thoughts, little by little
The alley brightens under a streetlight
as it considers my thoughts.

골목
생각이 많아
멀리 돌아왔다.
골목을 돌면
사람이 많고
화분이 많고
개와 고양이가 많다.
헌옷수거함의
헌옷이란 글자와
전봇대에 붙은
가족 구함이란 글자가
마주 보고 있다.
낯선 사람과
이름 모를 꽃과
짖으려다가 꼬리를 치는 개와
생각이 많아 자동차 밑으로 들어간 고양이가
내 복잡한 생각을 조금씩 떼어간다.
골목은
내 생각을 생각하려고
가로등을 환하게 밝힌다.
