닭장 옆 탱자나무
암탉이 알 낳았다고
꼬꼬대액! 꼭꼭 꼬꼬대액! 꼭꼭꼭
자랑, 자랑을 했다
닭은 진짜 바보다
알 낳을 때마다 저렇게 소문을 내니까
번번이 알을 뺏기지
닭장 옆에 세 들어 사는
탱자나무
노란 알을 그득하게 품고서
혼잣말로 중얼거렸다

That it has laid eggs
A hen is real a fool
Spreading the news when she lays eggs
And always losing her eggs
