A Night of No Moon— 장석주

A Night of No Moon

Turn on the gas to boil water for coffee
It’s 3AM
The white hand that turns on the gas
That day had snapped two or three dead branches from a peach tree.
At a nearby low hill, a screech owl cries.
It must be a night of no moon.
The lady I proposed to must be deep asleep
That history has long passed for me.
It’s a very sublime past
As you know, it’s bitter.
