애반딧불이 늦반딧불이 파파리반딧불이
도랑 가에 별빛으로 날아 망아지 눈 속처럼 깊은 밤을 부르던 거기
그리운 것들 실어 우체국으로 보내면 명왕성 해왕성 징검다리 건너
고향집 창가에 갈 수 있을까
삶의 두려움이 긴 그림자 드리우는 창가
어린 나무들 불빛 쪽으로 키를 늘이는데
애반딧불이 늦반딧불이 파파리반딧불이 그렁그렁한 별빛 사이
징검다리 건너 대문을 여는
Crossing Steppingstones
Ae-fireflies, neut-fireflies, papari-fireflies,
Beings that flew around as starlight, along the brook, calling for midnight, as deep as the
eyes of a foal,
If I load things that I miss on them, and send them to the post office, could they
Reach the window of my childhood home in my hometown, across the steppingstones of
Pluto
and Neptune?
The window where the fear of life casts a long shadow,
Where, while young trees stretch their height toward the light,
Amid the brimful starlight, Ae-fireflies, neut-fireflies, papari-fireflies
Cross the steppingstones and open the gate.
