A Water Fall
One who knows only a single road
Just heading down one way
Struggles simply to lower himself, rather than plunge
Into a lower and more isolated place
Sometimes to make a rainbow bloom in a deep valley
One heads to deep, damp, shady places
Things breaking do not simply cause pain
By shattering, they become newer, clearer, and fresher
With skin prickling and spirit stinging
Vision intensifies
And arms grow stronger

By Poet, Soonja Kwon,  born in 1958, poetry 『A Thousand Tears』 etc.
